The mark 3 model of Kiddy's Guardianfix series was awarded test winner in the group 1/2/3 (together with one other brand) during the May 2017 test by Stiftung Warentest and ADAC with the result "good" (1.9).
The Guardianfix 3 also meets the new ECE R44/04 norm and even exceeds most recent saftey requirements.
The seat can be used directly after an infant car seat such as the Kiddy Evoluna i-Size. The new impact shield system from Kiddy provides perfect protection especially for small children (9 - 18 kg). Additional functions such as the deeper seating position and the adjustable leg rest in five positions provide not only more comfort but also enhanced safety through the optimal adaptation to the ergonomics of the child.
The Guardianfix 3 grows with the child and adapts perfectly in width and height to their size. It can be used from approx. 9 months (9 kg) up to the age of 12 years (36 kg).v
Adjustable & convenient
The Guardianfix 3 can be adjusted individually according to the measurements of the child. For younger children the seat is used with the seat cushion and the impact shield. For older children, the height and widthadjustable backrest and also the adjustable leg rest can be modified optimally.
New impact shield system
The head and neck area of young children is most vulnerable in case of an accident or sharp braking as the head is proportionally bigger and heavier compared to the rest of the body than an adult‘s head. During an accident, the impact shield absorbs the resulting energy and acts like an airbag. The special shape allows the upper body to flex over the impact shield and reduces neck forces.
Maximum side impact protection
The high-tech energy-absorbing material "Honey Comb 2" is used in the sensitive head and shoulder area in order to protect this weak zone of the child particularly well.
Kiddy Shock Absorber
The car seat is always secured in the car with the 3-point vehicle seat belt. This system, however, was designed for adults. The Kiddy Shock Absorber absorbs the energy acting on the 3-point belt and protects the child in the event of an accident or sudden braking.
Correct buckling
The belt routing indicated in red not only facilitates the buckling but also eliminates the risk of misuse.
K-fix+ connectors
With the practical k-fix+ connectors the seat can be easily fixed to the Isofix system in the vehicle. The optimized k-fix+ system also makes it possible for the seat to move sideways in order to absorb the lateral impact energy in the event of an accident. The larger individually adjustable recline angle gives the child a relaxed and comfortable seating position, especially during long trips. In cars without Isofix the k-fix+ connectors can be easily folded in.
